PRIVACY POLICY

Last updated: April 23, 2025

Bare PC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website barepc.net (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you visit our Site or use our services. It also describes your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

By using the Site, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

A. Information You Provide Directly

  • Contact Form: Name, email, phone, build type, budget, and message.
  • Reviews: Name (optional), email (optional), build type, rating, and review text.
  • Payment: Processed by Stripe. We store only a Stripe customer ID and payment confirmation — never your full card number, CVV, or expiration date.
  • Data Removal Requests: Name, email, and request details.

B. Information Collected Automatically

  • Analytics (consent required): Google Analytics 4, Umami Analytics, and Clicky — loaded only when you select "Accept All" in the cookie banner. These services collect anonymized usage data such as page views, referrer, and browser type. No personally identifiable information is sold or shared.
  • Functional Cookies: Minimal cookies required for Site operation (session management, cookie consent preference). Always active.
  • Log Data: IP addresses, browser type, and access times logged by our hosting provider for security purposes.

C. Third-Party Services

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

  • Respond to build inquiries and quote requests
  • Process consultation deposit payments
  • Display approved customer reviews
  • Improve Site content, performance, and user experience
  • Comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for targeted advertising.

3. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

  • Service Providers: Stripe (payment processing) and our hosting provider, solely to operate the Site.
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
  • Business Transfer: If Bare PC is acquired or merged, data may transfer as part of that transaction.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

4. DATA RETENTION

Contact form submissions and review data are retained for up to 3 years. Payment records are retained as required by applicable financial regulations. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 6).

5. COOKIES & TRACKING

When you first visit the Site, a cookie consent banner is displayed with three options. Your choice is saved in your browser and the banner will not appear again. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site.
